COSHH Awareness
The aim of this course is to raise awareness of the importance of compliance with COSHH regulations in a dental practice. It includes awareness of both chemical and biological hazards with practical guidance on completing a suitable COSHH risk assessment.

- Outline COSHH regulations and supporting regulations.
- Identify substances hazardous to health in the dental practice, their routes of entry and associated health risks.
- Identify and describe CLP hazard pictograms.
- Carry out a COSHH risk assessment using material safety data sheets.
- Implement suitable control measures to reduce the risk of exposure.
This course is part of the Health and Safety training package but can be added on to any session.
